F.M. Light & Sons Sign, Steamboat Springs – Black and White Landscape Print

The only color in the frame is the sign. Everything else went black and white: the fencing, the sage, the treeline, a sky stacked dark with cumulus over the whole valley. And there in the middle, in patient hand-painted yellow — Boots, Jeans, Jackets — aSteamboat Springs business that has been holding its sign up for more than a century.

But the selective color makes the statement for me: the sign is what lasts, and the weather is what's temporary. Striking over a sofa, an easy gift for anyone with Steamboat roots, and the title will do real local search work for you.
